About Carmel Jyothi Matriculation School
The Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (C.M.C) is the primary indigenous congregation of India. It was founded in the southern state of Kerala in the year 1866, by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara in collaboration with the Italian Carmelite Missionary, Fr. Leopold Beccaro. We are a group of about 7000 sisters working in the different states of India. Now we have extended our fields of service to Europe, America and Africa to contribute more to the rest of the world.
Carmel Jyothi Matriculation School is run by the C.M.C sisters of Chavara Region, Thuckalay who have devoted their lives for the upliftment of our fellowmen, especially women and children. The integral character has always been given the top priority in the educational endeavours of C.M.C.
We do believe and affirm that every child has got his right for growing up to his potential by making the most of the talents given by the Almighty. The primary objective of this school is focussed on the integral development of the personality of each student and enabling him to accomplish a noble role in life. As a step towards achieving this goal, we target on the intellectual, cultural, physical, psychological and moral advancement of the children by giving them utmost care right from the initial stages of the academic career.
The school motto is “Let your light Shine”. Jesus said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (Jn 8, 12). These great words are the source of all our inspiration.
Yes, let your deeds be a light to those in the darkness. Your Alma Mater wants you to be outstanding wherever you go and whatever you do. May God bless you and let your blessing flow for the good of others.
